Out for A Root Around
After three weeks of being penned up. Ruby and her herd got a chance to root around the yard with the warmer weather and the snow melted away.

A puddle is a fascination.
Ruby has lost her girlish figure, the price of motherhood.
The little ones will try for an early dinner if Ruby will stand still long enough.

They are so cute!! Heidi is being so sweet. I just got thru watching the old movie Heidi while I cleaned the kitchen.
awww sweet little piggies! so cute.
It's such a pity that they become so big !! How is Heidi getting along with the babies ?? She lookes like THE QUEEN on this picture ! Only a hat is missing !
Gosh, I wish I had a dog again. This is one dog I could hug if she'd let me.
Today (October 25th) in my birthday. I am 74 years old.
Philip,
The piglets are so cute and Heidi is a handsome dog.
You should get some fine pork chops off those piglets one day. I enjoyed seeing them. How is the Runt.
Blessings,
Mary
She is elegant! She looks lovely, very lean and pretty. (Do dogs 'do' pretty?) :o)
You see I love seeing the piggies, they look so excited but I find it hard to think of them as pork chops! (Mary - you made me chuckle a bit, but you are right of course)
They are so cute and I am sure they are fun to watch as they explore the world.
Is Heidi behaving herself? SHe is a beautiful dog... but do the piglets make her drool??????
Ruby has my sympathies over the loss of her girlish figure, but my goodness those are some cute cute cute piggies.
I think Heidi must have been a dancer in a former life. She's so regal.
Your photos always make me smile. Thank you for that!
Seeing the pics of all the baby piglets reminds me why I was so taken with them when I was a child.
I cradled piglets as though they were babies!
And I always loved gooing to the pig sty to check out all the hogs.
Heidi--love the way she crosses her front paws.
